A lecturer in the theoretical sciences branch of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad. Nour Hatem Al-Haddad gave a qualitative lecture to undergraduate students entitled (How to write a CV for students of colleges and institutes).

Dr. Al-Haddad explained the concept of a CV, which is a summary of the life stages that a person goes through academically and professionally, in which he mentions the historical sequence and the experiences gained through his passage through these stages. The CV is functionally considered as giving an initial impression of the person applying for work before meeting him face to face to face.

Its types have been categorized into a simple CV, which is written in the business world and used to indicate the professional and functional background and is a summary of qualifications, and the most important elements of it are the job objective, personal data and contact information, education and certificates, experiences and skills, including language skills as well, courses and certificates obtained, references, there is also another type of resume known as a resume (C.V), which is a document that includes a list of jobs related to experience and education, in addition to being the first meeting between the potential employer and the job applicant through which his identifying information is reviewed, and among its basic elements are personal data, education and qualifications, work experience, interests and achievements, language and computer skills, references.

As indicated by Dr. Al-Haddad referred to the most important skills of how to make a resume: good formatting, length of the resume, spelling errors, contact information, formatting the resume, qualifications, job experiences.

She explained the difference between the paper and electronic form of the CV, where the paper form requires an abbreviation of long sentences and focus on the main information and a review of the most important practical experiences arranged according to the most recent, paying attention to the general form and ensuring the cleanliness and integrity of the paper, while the electronic form requires taking into account the size of the file and the use of formatting for good writing rules, and insert the applicant’s email.
