Instructions for applying for morning and evening study at the Faculty of physical education and sports sciences for girls University of Baghdad
College Application Period
The application period for the college begins on the 1st of August and continues until October.
It closes intermittently depending on the completion of the admission plan.
Admission Rules and Requirements:

Must hold Iraqi nationality.
-
Applicants should be born in 1999 or later.
-
Must pass the medical examination in accordance with the specific conditions stated in the admission form.
-
Must be full-time students; combining employment with morning studies is not permitted.
-
Female students who have recently graduated from secondary school (both scientific and literary branches) may be accepted, provided their average is not less than 57%, and those from the previous academic year who did not obtain central admission, in accordance with the specific rules for each program, provided they are not enrolled in evening studies, private government-affiliated morning programs, colleges under the Waqf authorities, or institutes affiliated with other ministries.

Female students who graduated from secondary school (scientific and literary branches) in the current or previous academic year and did not obtain central admission may be accepted.

Female students who graduated from vocational secondary schools in all branches, with a minimum average of 60%, from the current or previous academic year may be accepted, provided they submit documentation proving they were deferred or failed, certified by the college or institute, stating: “For the purpose of applying for the direct admission test, for each specialization.”

Graduates of Teacher Preparation Institutes, Department of Physical Education, may be accepted if they rank among the top 10.
-
Students who are children of martyrs may be accepted according to the designated quotas, with supporting documentation.
-
If a student is accepted through the direct admission channel, her name will be removed from the central admission list.
-
The applicant loses her right if the results of the second round exam are not submitted within three days of their announcement.
-
Acceptance is conditional upon passing the admission test.
-
Applicants are not allowed to apply to more than one institution through the direct admission channel.
Admission Channels:

Graduates of secondary education in scientific, literary, and vocational branches.

Athletes recognized by the Iraqi Olympic Committee.

Teachers who are graduates of the Department of Physical Education and have official appointments within the Ministry of Education with a minimum of two years of actual service, as well as graduates of Teacher Preparation Institutes, Department of Physical Education, ranked among the top 10%.
Selection Criteria:
The competition will be based on:

Overall Academic Average: 55% of the applicant’s total score in secondary school.

Practical Test and Personal Interview: 45% of the test score.
Athletes Channel (Iraqi Olympic Committee):
Candidates nominated by the Iraqi Olympic Committee may be accepted from graduates of the scientific, literary, and vocational branches (all branches and specializations), exempted from the minimum grade requirement, and allocated 10% of the admission plan, provided they meet one of the following conditions:

Athletes who have participated in any Olympic Games event.
-
Athletes who have achieved positions from first to sixth in any international championship recognized by the relevant sports federation.
-
Athletes who have achieved positions from first to sixth in any Asian championship recognized by the Asian federation of the sport.
-
Athletes who have achieved positions from first to third in any Arab championship recognized by the Arab federation of the sport.
-
Athletes who have achieved first, second, or third place in an Iraqi national championship or Republic-level championship supervised by the central federation concerned, for individual sports, within the last two seasons.
-
Athletes whose teams have achieved first, second, or third place in the general league or Republic-level championship supervised by the central federation concerned, for team sports, within the last two seasons.
The above achievements must be verified by an official letter from the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, Secretariat Office. The university is responsible for verifying the authenticity of these documents directly with the relevant authorities without referring to the Ministry.
Athletes who have obtained first place in school-level competitions across Iraq must provide certification from the Directorates of Education in Baghdad and other governorates, authenticated by the Ministry of Education.
Required Documents for Application:

A colored photocopy of the Iraqi nationality certificate for the applicant, father, and mother, or a unified national ID card for each individual.

A colored photocopy of the Civil Status ID for the applicant, or a unified national ID card.
-
A colored photocopy of the participation ID in the Ministry of Education’s public examinations.
-
Three (3) recent passport-sized photos with a white background.
-
An official letter from the Iraqi Olympic Committee, Secretariat Office, and the Directorates of Education in Baghdad and other governorates (required only for applicants to the Athletes Channel).
Important Notes for Test Preparation and Readiness:

Arrive early at the test location, at least one hour before the scheduled time, wearing appropriate sports attire (sportswear, sports shoes, and hair fully tied up).
-
Maintain full personal hygiene, including properly trimmed and clean nails.
-
Avoid excessive accessories such as valuable gold jewelry or any decorative items that may interfere with test performance.
-
Mobile phones are not allowed inside the test hall.
-
Accompanying persons or relatives are not permitted in the test hall with the examinee.
-
Do not contact the test administrator and avoid any actions that may disrupt the test process.
-
Stay with the group throughout all test stations and do not leave for any reason.
-
Do not consume food or drinks immediately before the start of the test.
-
Maintain calm and orderly conduct at each station of the test.
Admission Examinations for New Students Applying to the College:
First: Medical Examination

The applicant must be free from chronic diseases.
-
The applicant must be free from physical disabilities or postural deformities.
-
The applicant’s height and weight must be within the appropriate range (minimum height of 150 cm, with weight proportional to height).
-
The applicant must have normal vision, speech, and overall physical health.
Third: Personal Interview
The new students are interviewed to assess their eligibility for study in accordance with the rules and instructions outlined in the relevant application form.
Sponsorship Instructions for the Student:

An active employee is eligible to sponsor the student.
-
A letter confirming the sponsor’s continuous employment is required.
-
A retired individual may sponsor the student, provided a retirement ID is presented.
-
Military personnel are eligible to sponsor the student.
-
The sponsor must be present to sign the sponsorship agreement.
Required Documents After Admission:

A photocopy of the nationality certificate for the student, mother, and father, or their unified ID cards.

Evening Study Fees
The annual fee for evening study per student is 1,500,000 Iraqi Dinars.
