As part of its programs aimed at promoting cooperation and positive interaction between students and the teaching staff, the Student Activities Division at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women – University of Baghdad organized a friendly basketball match between the Students team and the Lecturers team on Monday, October 13, 2025, held on the college’s court.
The match was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, along with the Administrative Assistant Dean, Prof. Dr. Naima Zaidan Khalaf, as well as a number of faculty members and students. The game was marked by an enthusiastic and lively atmosphere filled with sportsmanship and encouragement from the audience.
The match ended with the Students’ team winning by a score of 29–20 over the lecturers’ team.
This activity aimed to break the routine between students and the academic staff and to foster positive human relations based on mutual respect and appreciation.
At the end of the event, Dr. Fatima presented the trophy to the winning team. At the same time, everyone expressed their joy and appreciation for this initiative that strengthens the concept of university sports activities as a means of promoting unity and building a healthy and motivating academic environment.
