The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad organized a cultural trip to Al-Jawahiri’s House, under the supervision of Assistant Prof. Dr. Intidhar Juma’a Mubarak from the Team Sports Branch, with the participation of a group of the college’s students.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the rich legacy of the great poet Mohammed Mahdi Al-Jawahiri, and to explore the valuable collections, documents, and photographs that chronicle his remarkable literary journey, as one of the most prominent figures in modern Arabic literature.
During the tour, the participants learned about the cultural and historical aspects of this distinguished literary landmark, expressing their admiration for the symbolic and national value it represents in Iraq’s cultural memory.
At the end of the visit, Asst. Prof. Dr. Intidhar Juma’a Mubarak extended her appreciation to the Baghdad Municipality, particularly the Cultural Affairs Department, for their efforts in preserving this literary monument and transforming it into a cultural beacon that attracts visitors and creatives from all over Iraq.
