The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Science for Girls at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, participated alongside the heads of the scientific departments, including Prof. Dr. Nihad Muhammed Allwan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abeer Dakheel Hatem, Asst. Prof. Dr. Iman Sabeeh Hussein, and the two lecturers Prof. Dr. Mawahib Hameed Numan and Asst. Prof. Dr. Naeima Zaidan Khalaf as members in managing the sessions of the Youth and Sports Conference titled (Challenges of the Era and Prospects of the Future), in addition to the participation of the scout group, led by the head of the Student Activities Unit, Prof. Dr. Sahar Hurr Majeed, and the Scout Leader, Lect. Nibal Kareem, and Asst. Lect. Safia Ihsan, which was held under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammed Shiaa Al-Sudani, which lasted for two days at the hall of the Al-Rasheed Hotel in Baghdad, focusing on the discussion of 20 topics in various sports disciplines.
The conference was inaugurated with the performance of the Republican Anthem, recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and delivering speeches that highlight the importance of sports and its role in society, by the authorities responsible for the conference, including the Prime Minister and the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Sports Affairs, Mr. Khaled Abdul Wahid Kabian, and the Minister of Sports, Mr. Ahmed Al-Mubarqa

The participation of Dean Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh was represented as a member in the management of two main focus. The first is (Skills Empowerment for Decent Work Opportunities), and the second is about (People with Special Needs, the Determined Ones). In addition, she managed a session about (Sports Clubs/ Challenges and Solutions for Sports Clubs) with the membership of the Head of Team Games Department, Prof. Dr. Nihad Muhammed Alwan, while the session on (Sports Economics) was managed with the participation of Individual Games department professor, Prof. Dr. Mawahib Hameed Numan, the participation of the Head of Theoretical Sciences department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Iman Sabeeh, was represented in managing a session on (Sports Legislation), in addition to presenting two research papers. The first was on (Women’s Sports), which was managed by the Team Games department professor, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nuaima Zeidan Khalaf. The second was on the same topic, which was also headed by her in a session titled (Sports Legislation). Meanwhile, a session on (Sports Unions between Reality and Ambition) was managed with the membership of the Head of Individual Games department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abeer Dakheel Hatem.
The conference concluded by presenting thirty recommendations divided equally (15) for youth and the same for sports in general. The most notable of these were the implementation of more advanced policies and strategies to promote the private sector through youth entrepreneurship, and enhancing the participation of young women in the labor market.
In conclusion, certificates of participation and shields of honor were distributed to all parties and members who contributed to the success of the conference. Wishing all the specialists success, prosperity, and good fortune in their work, serving our beloved Iraq.
