The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled (The effect of Tabata exercises on developing the most important special abilities and achievement for female athletes in the 100-meter hurdles event under 18 years of age) by the student (Lamia Iyad Karim).
The study aimed to identify the most important physical and motor abilities and achievement, prepare exercises in the Tabata style to obtain better results in the research variables, identify the effect of Tabata exercises on the most important special abilities and achievement for the 100m hurdles event, as the Tabata method is high and repetitive interval training that had a positive impact on develop some physical abilities and complete obstacles.
The study came out with a number of conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which is proving that Tabata-style exercises have a positive role in physical abilities (explosive strength, speed endurance, maximum speed, strength characterized by speed), as well as their role in improving motor abilities (coordination, balance, flexibility) as well as adding a character of suspense and excitement to the Training unit. Recommending the necessity of using the exercises that were prepared when designing the training curriculum because of their positive impact in developing the physical and motor capabilities and achievement of the Al Bayaa Club players for the 100m hurdles event, emphasizing that coaches and specialists in the arena and field pay attention to the latest training methods that will raise the physical level of their players and motor and skill.
In conclusion, this study achieves one of the goals of sustainable development, represented by good health, well-being and good education.
