The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s dissertation etitled (A historical and analytical study of Iraqi Paralympic participation and the achievements achieved in courses and championships for weightlifters for people with motor disabilities for the period from (1985-2021), by the student (Heba Ammar Najah).

The study aimed to determine the emergence of the sport of Paralympic weightlifting for people with mobility disabilities in Iraq, document and analyze the contributions and achievements achieved in the sport of weightlifting for the aforementioned sample for the period (1985-2021), and analyze and criticize the reasons that prevented the achievement of achievements in the sport of Paralympic weightlifting for people with mobility disabilities in Some courses and tournaments for the above years.

The study came out with a number of conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which is that polytheistic weightlifters with physical disabilities enjoy a good level, especially after their numbers increased in Iraqi championships at the Arab and international levels for the period (1985/2021), noting the presence of participation in local Iraqi weightlifting championships that were not documented for the period (1986). -2010) I also witnessed an increase in the percentage of women’s participation in weightlifting, which indicates the development of their participation and achievements in such a sport, recommending that we emphasize tracking the historical march of sports for people with physical disabilities by recording and objectively analyzing the participation and achievement of players, given that these groups represent building energies. Society, the need to highlight sports for people with disabilities by officials and specialists in state institutions and provide them with all means of care and attention and sports support by preparing sports supplies and equipment that push them to achieve advanced achievement.

This study achieves the sustainable development goals of good health, well-being, good education, and reducing inequalities.
