The Biomechanics Committee at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, organized a scientific course entitled (Kinematic analysis is a cognitive mean for tracking and evaluating the performance of players in an objective manner (mechanical – computing with a neural network). The course aimed to identify motor analysis as a cognitive mean to determine the causes of success and failure in motor performance, how do specialists and experts adopt mechanical kinetic analysis as a means of evaluating movement?, Mechanical kinetic analysis contributes to giving a clear picture of the description of the movement and answering questions about how the movement occurs, the results of the kinetic analysis contribute to directing the educational and training process, analyzing the path of the movement or activity and comparing it to a model or a means that contributes to developing the level and achieving high achievement, kinetic analysis is a means of measuring biomechanics, the role of computing (neural network) in developing performance.

The members of the committee stated that movement analysis used as a cognitive method is a key to identifying the path and details of movement, and that segmenting and analyzing movement is not a goal, but rather a means that searches for the parts of movement and the extent of the relationship between the variables that affect that path and converting it into numbers and degrees for the purpose of reaching the goal which is the best performance, using programs and devices to measure movement analysis as a tool or means to evaluate the movements performed by the athlete, taking into account the characteristics of that movement and the possibility of identifying the mechanical causes of sports skills.

They also explained the most important steps that must be followed in the results of mechanical movement analysis to contribute to directing the training process or the work of the coach in the sports field, including watching the athlete’s movements by showing video films of the athlete’s performance, identifying the main parts of the movement or dividing it into stages, and this may include identifying variables. The mechanical stage at each stage and then studied individually, the measurement stage, and this may include the use of tools such as motion capture systems, force plates, and accelerometers to collect data about the athlete’s movements, analyze the collected data, as well as the possibility of providing feedback to the athlete based on the results of the analysis.

The committee pointed out the most important performance errors for motion path analysis in general, timing errors, and errors resulting from deficiencies in strength and ability.

They explained the difference between computing and a neural network. The former is a field that includes the study and training of algorithmic processes and refers to the use of computers to perform tasks that are difficult or impossible to do manually, and includes all computing specializations. As for the neural network, it is a computer system designed similar to the human brain. The nervous system is an interconnected group of natural or artificial neurons that uses a mathematical or computational model to process information based on a connectionist approach to computation that uses a network of functions to understand and translate data inputs from one model into the desired outputs, usually in another form.

This course is one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
