A lecturer in the team games branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Asst. Prof. Nada Muhammad Amin, held a scientific symposium for undergraduate students entitled (The intellectual enthusiasm of youth and their role in building society). The symposium focused on several axes, the most important of which is the intellectual enthusiasm of young people, young people are the Key to the progress and building of society, young people are the most ambitious, the role of young people in volunteer work, the role of young people in the political field, the role of young people in building the nation.

Dr. Nada explained the importance of young people and their role in building and developing society as they are considered the indispensable backbone because they represent the basis of strength, vitality, energy, endurance and production at a certain stage of an individual’s life, explaining the difference between them in meaning from both linguistic and English perspectives, as the first represents Youth and modernity, in English, means the age stage that extends from childhood to pre-adulthood, indicating the role of each age group of youth in a specific direction that may be scientific, professional, political, social, cultural, or sports, to contribute to development and creativity in all areas of life.

This symposium achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
