The two teaching staff in the team sports branch at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Liqa’a Abdullah and Asst.Prof. Sahar Har Majeed, a training course for undergraduate students entitled (Basketball Skills Challenge Competition). The two teachers pointed out the most important features of the Basketball Skills Challenge Competition, including that it is characterized by its simplicity and flexibility. It requires a basketball court, a number of players, and some simple tools such as barriers and goals. This competition is an opportunity to display the skills and abilities of the players in passing, scoring, and hitting. This competition is distinguished by it is far from the presence of the defending competitor, as the player performs these skills alone and is linked to the time factor and scoring points. Development in this competition depends on the extent of mastery and proficiency in the basic skills in the game and their performance under all conditions of real competition. The two teachers also recommended the necessity of paying attention to this type of competition because of its effective impact on mastering basic basketball skills, expanding the base for practicing this game to all age groups and for both genders, the necessity of registering for all competitions held, and paying attention to physical fitness elements that will raise the level of players in this competition. .
