Organizing the teachings of the Scout Troop in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Asst. Prof. Naima Zidan Khalaf and Lect.D. Nibal Karim, in cooperation with the Teaching Methods Committee, held a training workshop for fourth-year female students entitled (How to Implement Flag Raising Decrees), in the presence of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh.
The workshop aimed to focus the students on how to learn how to perform the ceremony of raising the national flag on Thursday of every week during the period of field application in their schools, as its method is performed in a quick manner according to the instructions of the Scout Troop teachers, in addition to its bright colors and special measurements.
As confirmed by Dr. Naima and Dr. Nibal encourage students to adhere to the Scout uniform while performing flag raising ceremonies and to implement its curriculum in terms of reciting poems about patriotism, prophetic hadiths, and wisdom of the day.
For her part, the Dean of the College explained to the students the importance of their role as graduates of physical education, which means teaching Scouting vocabulary that works to develop a sense of responsibility, enhance the sense of belonging and loyalty to the homeland, and deepen the love of science through its embodiment in the love, prosperity and progress of Iraq.
This workshop achieves the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
