     The Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis titled (The impact of an educational curriculum according to the model of formats and lateral thinking in learning some of the skills of artistic gymnastics on the carpet of ground movements for female students) for the student (Maha Haqqi Ismail) under the supervision of the teacher in the branch of individual games  Dr. Zeina Abdul Salam.Where the researcher pointed to the form model, which is a structural educational model that takes into account the right and left sides of the brain, when it includes four stages such as contemplative observation, crystallization of the concept, active experimentation, tangible material experiences, explaining lateral thinking as a pattern of thinking based on the invention of as many solutions and alternatives as possible and can be considered mediated on more than one side in the problem, or situation, and jump with steps to solve the problem, that is, keep all available information, and does not depend in its steps on the clear path as it is in vertical vertical thinking that  It goes in sequential, sequential steps.

The student concluded that the use of the educational curriculum according to the format model has achieved a clear development in the development of lateral thinking and skills (diving, standing on hands, wheel) as well as its contribution to learning skills theoretically and practically according to its use of the four steps, in addition to achieving harmony between the elements of the educational material.

The student recommended the introduction of the format model in an educational style in the gymnastics lesson of the third stage for the purpose of developing the level of students, improving their skill performance, using cognitive and skill aspects within the educational unit that help in the development of lateral thinking, adopting the format model in learning students with other skills in gymnastics.

After discussing her thesis, the committee recommended that she be awarded a master’s degree in physical education.
