The teacher in the team games branch in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Sahar Hurr Majeed, participated in the discussion membership of the master’s thesis tagged ((The effect of educational units according to visual teaching on perceptual speed and learning some basic skills in basketball for students) by the student (Zeina Ghazi Ismail) in the College of Basic Education, Diyala University.
The study aimed to prepare educational units according to visual teaching in the cognitive speed of the members of the research sample, and to identify the impact of educational units according to visual teaching in cognitive speed, as well as to learn some basic skills in basketball, and to identify the differences between the experimental and control groups in the post-tests.
The study reached a number of conclusions, most notably: that the use of the visual teaching method greatly affects the learning of the researched skills and the cognitive speed of the experimental group, and the emergence of a preference for the impact of the use of visual teaching and its effectiveness on the approach followed in learning to perform some basic skills in basketball and cognitive speed, as well as The clear superiority of the experimental group over the control group in basic skills and cognitive speed, which is considered a clear indicator of the effectiveness of using visual presentation aids in the lesson and increasing students’ awareness of skills.
After discussing the student’s thesis, the committee recommended granting her a master’s degree in physical education.
