The teacher in the team games branch in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Nada Muhammad Amin, participated in the discussion of the doctoral dissertation tagged (The effect of a specialized training program on some functional heart indicators and physical and skill variables for basketball players) by the student (Dashni Anwar Karim) in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Halabja.
The study aimed to prepare a specialized training curriculum to develop some functional heart indicators and physical and skill variables for basketball players under 18 years, as well as to identify the impact of this curriculum on functional indicators and physical and skill variables for basketball players, a research sample.
The study concluded that the training curriculum had a positive effect on all functional heart indicators in terms of heart rates, blood pressure, average blood pressure, pulse pressure, stroke volume, stroke volume coefficient, cardiac impulse, cardiac impulse coefficient during rest and after performing effort, as well as its positive effect on All physical variables in terms of transitional speed, strength distinguished by speed and explosive power of the legs and arms, agility, endurance of speed, in addition to its positive effect also on all skill variables in terms of chest handling, high plumpness, jumping scoring, peaceful scoring.
After discussing the student’s thesis, the committee recommended granting her a doctorate degree in physical education.
