The Scientific Affairs Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, and the supervision of the Unit Official, Asst. Lect. Diana Ghanem hosted Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Muqdad Salah El-Din Ahmed and Commissioner Ali Fadel Awad from the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Affairs to hold an awareness workshop entitled (Awareness Against Drugs and Psychotropic Substances).
The workshop focused on the concept of drugs, their types and their impact on the individual and society, and how they affect mental, physical, psychological, social, and economic effects, in addition to how to raise awareness about them by showing awareness videos that urge all segments of society, especially university students, first to stay away from suspected cases and report them through our institutions working to eliminate drug crimes, extortion, and others.
At the end of the workshop, the Dean of the College, Dr. Fatima, presented the lecturers with letters of thanks in appreciation for their efforts in contributing to raising awareness in society, wishing them success and fulfillment in their work in serving our beloved country.
This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal, quality education, and the seventeenth goal, establishing partnerships to achieve the goals.
