The instructors of the scouting squad in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, organized a symposium by Prof. Dr. Naima Zaidan Khalaf and Dr. Nibal Karim Abdullah, in cooperation and coordination with the National Sports Observatory Department / Department of Studies and Development of Youth Staffs and Leaders in the Ministry of Youth and Sports A scientific session for the students of the first stage, entitled (The Sports Role of Youth Scout Camps), under the auspices of the Minister of Youth and Sports, Ahmed Al-Mubarqa, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdel Maleh and Eng. Abdel-Khaliq Khader Al-Khafaji, at Akram Fahmy Hall in the College.
The symposium and its axes were moderated by Dr. Naima Zaidan, Dr. Nibal Karim, and the Director of the National Observatory Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr. Amjad Hamad Al-Jashamy, and Dr. Sari Hussein.
The symposium discussed many axes, the most important of which is the importance of practicing sports activities in scout camps, highlighting the role of sport in enhancing and developing the physical fitness of scout teams such as strength, agility, flexibility and endurance, gaining the strength of observation and the spirit of enthusiasm and adventure, improving public health, reducing the feeling of exhaustion, and refining creative skills.
