The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, held a meeting with the heads of the committees organizing the Third International Scientific Conference, titled (Artificial Intelligence and Its Role in Cognitive Creativity in Sports Sciences), scheduled to take place from April 16 to 17, 2025. The meeting was attended by the heads of the preparatory, reception, secretarial, and scientific committees.

The discussion focused on reviewing the conference program and agenda, which includes six scientific workshops—three in-person and three online. These workshops will feature expert researchers from countries such as Russia, Turkey, and the United Kingdom, covering topics related to genetic engineering, artificial intelligence in sports sciences and research, and mechanisms for publishing in global academic journals and indexed databases.

Additionally, the committee planned a cultural tour for participating researchers from both inside and outside Iraq, offering them insight into Baghdad’s cultural and artistic heritage.

The meeting also addressed publication mechanisms for research submitted to the conference in the college’s journal and determined participation fees. Prof. Dr. Fatima encouraged faculty members to support postgraduate students in publishing their extracted research papers within the conference proceedings. She also announced that the college’s journal has recently met the requirements for inclusion in the Scopus database.

At the end of the meeting, an open discussion was held, allowing committee heads to share their proposals regarding conference preparations, committee organization, and the management of workshops and research presentations.

This meeting aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on enhancing quality education.
