The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, under the supervision and patronage of the Dean, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, continued its weekly seminar series. Today, the college organized its eighth seminar session for postgraduate girls (Master’s and Doctoral candidates) for the academic year 2025-2026. This initiative is part of the college’s strategic scientific plan aimed at fostering a culture of scientific research and enhancing the skills of female researchers.
The session featured the discussion of research projects by two girls from the Master’s and Doctoral levels. The proceedings were conducted in the presence of a specialized academic committee consisting of a chairwoman and four members. The two girls presented their proposed research titles and methodologies, providing a critical analysis of previous studies within their fields of specialization. This process aimed to identify research gaps and offer innovative scientific insights that contribute to the enrichment of the sports library.
The presentations included detailed explanations of the methodologies and applied approaches adopted in the research, focusing on the qualitative contributions these studies offer to the scientific field. At the conclusion of the session, the scientific committee provided precise feedback and essential recommendations intended to improve research quality and enhance the accuracy of the measurement and analysis tools utilized.
The continuation of these seminars for the eighth consecutive week aligns with the college’s strategy to achieve Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the fourth goal related to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education. Furthermore, these sessions contribute to empowering the college to graduate qualified female researchers capable of keeping pace with modern scientific advancements and addressing contemporary challenges in the field of sports sciences at both local and international levels.
