The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, along with the faculty member in the Individual Sports Department, Prof. Dr. Bushra Kadhem Abdul Rida, and the faculty member in the Team Sports Department, Prof. Dr. Nadima Bader Muhammed, participated in the seminar titled (The Role of Universities in Supporting Popular Mobilization Forces) held at the College of Political Science at the University of Baghdad. The seminar was attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abd Dhad, the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Munir Hameed Al-Saadi, the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Karim Hassan Alwan, as well as the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Yaser Hussein Al-Issaawi, and a number of academic figures. The seminar focused on the administrative facilities provided by universities for students who participated in battles against ISIS to defend their country’s land. Additionally, it highlighted the role of universities in engaging their students in organizing blood donation campaigns to meet the needs of hospitals that receive fighters from the Popular Mobilization Forces and security forces.
