Professor Dr. Fatima Abdel Maleh, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, presides over the membership of the PhD thesis discussion titled (The effect of exercises using VERTIMAX on the development of muscle power, some physiological indicators, biomechanical variables, and the achievement of weight lifting for players under 18 years old) by the student (Ola Issa Abboud) under the supervision Teaching at the individual games branch, Professor Dr. Israa Fouad Saleh.

The study aimed to develop exercises using the vertimax device in developing muscle capacity, some physiological indicators, biomechanical variables, and achievement for weightlifters under the age of 18, at the National Center for Sports Talent in the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Baghdad, as well as identifying the impact of these variables and indicators on the players’ achievement. .

The study concluded that a significant development occurred in the levels of muscular ability, physiological indicators, and biomechanical variables as a result of training on the vertimax device, noting the contribution of the results of the kinetic analysis in diagnosing performance, which includes calculating biomechanical indicators and muscular ability.

The study recommended that the physical training and the development of the technical aspects should be based on the required mechanical requirements, in addition to the use of tools and devices that continue to achieve this with the least effort on the athlete, relying on the mechanical laws extracted from its variables from kinetic analysis and video imaging to measure the amounts of explosive and rapid force for the various skills and other movements and the diversity in the use of modern training methods and means that help to develop achievement.

After discussing the student’s thesis, the committee recommended granting her a doctorate degree in physical education.
