The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Fatimah Abd Maleh, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Naima Zaidan Khalaf, received an engineering committee from the university presidency for the purpose of field inspection of the infrastructure of sports and service facilities in the college. The inspection tour included indoor and outdoor court halls designated for individual and team games, in addition to inspecting monitoring rooms, service facilities, and external walls. This visit came in implementation of the directives of the President of the University of Baghdad, who called for the launch of comprehensive campaigns for reconstruction, maintenance, and rehabilitation in all university buildings, with the aim of preparing and equipping them to receive the upcoming academic year in the appropriate manner that befits the status of the university and its scientific and service mission. For her part, the Dean of the College confirmed that these procedures come within the framework of an integrated plan to develop the infrastructure and ensure a safe and motivating educational and training environment for the students, teaching, and administrative staff, appreciating the efforts of the engineering committee in following up on the inspection work with accuracy and professionalism. This project comes as an embodiment of the University of Baghdad’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals 2030, particularly the fourth goal (Quality Education) through preparing an advanced educational environment, the ninth goal (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) through investing in the maintenance and rehabilitation of infrastructure, and the sixteenth goal (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) as these works reflect building a strong and transparent academic institution committed to implementing rational directives and providing organized and just services.
