A doctoral dissertation titled (Selection Criteria for School Principals Specializing in Physical Education and Strategic Intelligence and Their Relationship with Performance Evaluation from the Perspective of Administrative Supervisors in Selected General Directorates of Education in Iraq) by the student (Israa Jassim Abid Muhammad) was discussed today, June 2, 2026, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad.

The examination committee comprised Professor Dr. Najlaa Abbas Nassif as Chair, Professor Dr. Iqbal Abdul Hussein as Supervisor, Professor Dr. Nihad Muhammad Alwan as Member, Professor Dr. Sinan Abbas Ali from the University of Diyala as External Member, Professor Dr. Rafid Ali Dawoud as Member, and Assistant Professor Dr. Nibal Karim Abdullah as Member.

The research aimed to construct a scientific scale for the selection criteria of school principals specializing in physical education, develop a strategic intelligence scale for them from the perspective of administrative supervisors, and uncover the nature of the correlational relationship between selection criteria, strategic intelligence, and the professional performance evaluation of school principals.

The researcher concluded that the application of the selection criteria scale for school principals specializing in physical education from the perspective of administrative supervisors is valid. It was found that the level of criteria availability among school principals from the perspective of the sample members is considered acceptable to a certain extent. The creative leadership dimension ranked highest among the selection criteria dimensions, reflecting the importance of innovation and flexibility in educational administrative work. Furthermore, the results indicated that school principals specializing in physical education possess strategic intelligence, and that their performance evaluation reflects competence in executing administrative tasks.

The researcher recommended the necessity of adopting comprehensive development programs that focus on cultivating creativity, enhancing strategic planning skills, and embracing digital transformation, thereby contributing to the advancement of institutional performance in accordance with modern quality standards.

This academic discussion achieves the fourth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which is Quality Education.
