The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, discussed the doctoral thesis entitled (The effect of the directed collaborative inquiry strategy on analytical thinking and learning simple responses in epee weapons for students), by the student (Hind Qasim Muhalhal).
The study aimed to prepare an analytical thinking scale for students of the third stage of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Basra, to identify the degree of analytical thinking of students, to prepare educational units for the directed collaborative inquiry strategy, in addition to identifying its effect on analytical thinking and learning simple responses in the epee weapon for students.
The study came out with a number of conclusions and recommendations, the most important of which is that the directed collaborative inquiry strategy has a positive impact on analytical thinking and learning simple response skills in fencing for students. The aforementioned strategy also required teachers to make a double effort to manage the discussion and dialogue between students and direct them to the correct scientific direction. Analytical thinking has an important role in implementing and performing simple response skills in epee. The greater the amount of thinking and information students have about the investigated skills, the more they will understand and learn them well. The study recommended adopting a cooperative investigation strategy directed to its effective role in analytical thinking and learning simple response skills in epee for students in Teaching fencing in colleges of physical education and sports sciences, taking into account individual differences among learners to choose the most appropriate strategies and methods to achieve the desired goal of raising the level of learning, improving skill performance, increasing the effectiveness of the educational process, and paying attention to providing devices and tools for fencing in departments and colleges of physical education in a manner that is appropriate and prepared. Students to ensure the application of modern teaching strategies, methods and techniques.

This study achieves the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
