The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, and the supervision of the unit’s official, Prof. Dr. Huda Abdel Samie, in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Interior/Friends of the Interior Department, organized an awareness lecture entitled (Electronic Blackmail) It was presented by Captain Hala Gamal and employee Marwa Gamal.

The lecture topics focused on knowing the concept of electronic blackmail and its causes, how to protect against electronic blackmail, securing electronic devices, emphasizing not to open any unknown electronic links, in addition to not publishing private data, as well as emphasizing changing the secret code from time to time.

The Friends of the Interior delegation also advised  students on how to report if they are exposed to the crime of blackmail, by calling the free community police hotline (497), to take all legal measures against the violators, and the identity of the complainant remains confidential.

In a related context, the Dean of the College Dr. Fatima, welcomed the delegation of the Friends of the Interior, thanked their cooperation with us in holding such awareness seminars and lectures, stressing the importance of opening a cooperation mechanism for the purpose of training members of the Follow-up Division in our college, in addition to nominating someone from them to be a member of the newly created Industrial Advisory Council.

In conclusion, the Dean of the College awarded the Interior Delegation letters of thanks and appreciation and symbolic medals bearing the College’s logo in appreciation of their efforts in providing all the educational advice that serves the segments of society to help them avoid the mistakes and foreign phenomena that have occurred in our society recently.

This lecture achieves two goals of sustainable development: the fourth goal is quality education and the seventeenth goal is establishing partnerships to achieve the goals.
