The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad, presided over and supervised by the Dean, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, continues to implement its weekly scientific program of holding seminar sessions for postgraduate students at both the doctoral and master’s levels for the 2025–2026 academic year. The sessions included the presentation of research projects by two students from both stages, under the supervision of a specialized academic committee consisting of a chair and four members. The committee discussed the submitted research proposals, which included a comprehensive review of the suggested research titles, structures of the work plans, and a critical analysis of previous studies in the field to identify research gaps and provide innovative solutions that enrich the scientific library.
The two students presented explanations of the methodologies and applied approaches upon which their work is based, highlighting the qualitative contributions their research adds to the scientific field. At the conclusion of the presentations, the committee provided a set of precise scientific observations and essential amendments aimed at improving research quality and enhancing the accuracy of the measurement and analysis tools used.
The continuity of these seminars is part of a deliberate strategy seeking to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 regarding the guarantee of inclusive and high-quality education. Furthermore, this initiative contributes to enabling the college to graduate researchers capable of dealing with modern scientific challenges and keeping pace with rapid developments in the field of sports sciences at the international level.
