The Student Activities Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr Fatima Abd Maleh, and in cooperation with the Iraqi Cultural Media Center, held a friendly basketball match between the pioneering lecturers and students. The lecturers’ team achieved first place among the students.

The winning teams were also honoured by the Dean of the College, Dr Fatima, and the Media Center delegation with winning medals and the championship cup. At the same time, the Director of the Media Center, Mr Majid Al-Saeed, presented certificates of thanks and appreciation to the Dean of the College and a group of lecturers participating in the championship, wishing them success and more creativity in achieving women’s sports achievements.

This match achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the third goal, good health and well-being, and the seventeenth goal, forming partnerships to achieve the goals.
