The activities of the Iraqi Universities Badminton Championship (female-male) students 2024 have been launched at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr Fatima Abd Malah, which was organised by the Student Activities Department at the University of Baghdad in cooperation with the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Iraqi University Sports Federation, with the participation of more than 70 public and private universities.
The game activities were held in groups, with the University of Baghdad female students’ team achieving victory over its counterpart, the College of Peace, the private university, with (2, zero), and the male students’ team also achieved victory over its counterpart, Al-Mustansiriya University, with (2, zero).
This championship achieves several sustainable development goals represented by the sixteenth goal, peace, justice and strong institutions, and the seventeenth, forming partnerships to achieve the goals.
