The Women’s Affairs and Student Activities Units and the Education and Volunteer Work Committee, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, hosted the head of the Agharid Organization for Education Development and Youth Support, Counselor Saad Hussein Al-Mohammadi, to hold a scientific workshop entitled (Personal Change and Planning)
Counselor Al-Mohammadi explained the difference between the concept of planning and personal change, as planning is the process of organized thinking to determine future goals and develop a plan to achieve them, in addition to focusing on priorities, identifying resources, and reducing risks. In contrast, personal change is an ongoing process aimed at improving life in general or in specific aspects related to work, health, relationships or personal growth.
He explained that the steps of the personal planning process lie in clearly defining the goal, analyzing strengths and weaknesses, setting clear and specific implementation steps and determining the time frame for each step, in addition to conducting a continuous review of the plan and modifying it as needed.
He also reviewed how to apply personal planning through practical activities such as writing a personal goal, dividing the goal into small implementation steps, and sharing the plan with the group to exchange opinions and support, noting at the same time some motivational tips to face challenges, the most important of which is constantly reminding yourself of the reasons for change and its importance in your life, searching for external sources of support such as friends or mentors, celebrating small achievements to motivate yourself to continue, learning from mistakes and looking at them as opportunities for improvement.
In conclusion, the two sides exchanged letters of thanks in appreciation of the efforts made by all contributors to holding such a scientific workshop that contributes to developing human development for all members of society by defining their goals and developing a plan for their academic and professional lives.
This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal, quality education, and the seventeenth goal, forming partnerships to achieve the goals.
