The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “E-Learning Platforms,” presented by Asst. Lecturer Rasha Majid Hassoun from the Department of Theoretical Sciences.
The lecturer highlighted the benefits of e-learning platforms in facilitating access to knowledge, promoting self-learning opportunities, saving time and effort, and offering diverse educational content. She also addressed the key challenges these platforms face, including technical issues, lack of social interaction, and difficulties with concentration. Additionally, she introduced some of the most widely used e-learning platforms, such as Edraak, Coursera, and Udacity.
Ms. Rasha emphasized that the successful adoption of e-learning requires adequate infrastructure, including high-speed internet access, computers, smart devices, and necessary educational software. She also noted user feedback, which highlights the flexibility and ease of access as significant advantages of this learning method.
The workshop concluded by linking the topic to Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive and quality education for all.
