The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women – University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, together with the Associate Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Dr. Naima Zidan Khalaf, participated in the Third International Scientific Conference held under the theme (Physical Education in the Age of Artificial Intelligence – Visions and Applications(
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences – University of Diyala organized the conference with several private universities, including Al-Turath, Bilad Al-Rafidain, and Imam Jaafar Al-Sadiq University. It took place at Al-Salam Hall under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of the University of Diyala, Prof. Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and was chaired by the Dean of the College of Physical Education, Prof. Dr. Uday Abdul Hussein. The event lasted for two days (27–28 August 2025), with 97 research papers presented.
The conference aimed to explore the integration of artificial intelligence in advancing education and training in the field of physical education, showcase modern innovative applications and technologies for performance analysis and sports assessment, propose visions for updating curricula in physical education colleges in line with digital transformation, and promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge among Iraqi and Arab academics.
At the conclusion of the opening session, the University president honored the Head and members of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, along with the participating institutions and organizers, with the Conference Shield.
On the sidelines of the conference, he also met with the Head and members of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Iraq, praising their outstanding efforts and active participation in the event’s success and presenting them with a Letter of Appreciation.
This conference reflects the commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
