The new academic year for undergraduate students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women – University of Baghdad commenced on Sunday, September 21, 2025. The college welcomed its students in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and optimism, following intensive preparations undertaken by the academic and administrative leadership to ensure a well-organized and successful start. The first day witnessed the regularity of lectures across most scientific departments.

Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, accompanied by the Administrative Assistant Dean, Prof. Dr. Naeima Zaidan Khalaf, toured both theoretical and practical classrooms, welcoming the students and expressing her delight at the revival of academic life. She also visited postgraduate lectures to review the progress of the educational process, emphasizing the college’s commitment to providing a stimulating and safe learning environment, while highlighting the implementation of several developmental plans this year in curricula and student services.

The college looks forward to achieving further academic and research accomplishments throughout the year and strengthening community partnerships, thereby contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market demands.
