The Student Activities Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, organized an awareness campaign on breast cancer, aiming to enhance students’ awareness of the importance of early detection and prevention methods.

The campaign was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, along with a group of faculty members and students. It included various educational activities, such as distributing brochures and awareness leaflets containing essential tips on self-breast examination and the importance of regular medical check-ups.

The Head of the Student Activities Unit, Prof. Dr. Sahar Harr, emphasized that this campaign reflects the unit’s commitment to promoting students’ health and spreading health awareness within the university environment, noting that early detection is the most effective method in combating breast cancer.

The campaign received broad engagement from students, who expressed their appreciation for the valuable information provided and their willingness to participate in ongoing awareness programs.

This initiative contributes to achieving two of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 4 (Quality Education).
