As part of the Unified Guidance Week activities, the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, held a scientific lecture titled (University Student Behavior and Student Conduct Regulations). The event took place in the Akram Fahmi Hall, with several faculty members and a group of college students in attendance.
The lecture was delivered by the Associate Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhad Haseeb Abdul-Hamid, the Head of the Psychological Counseling Unit, Lect: Dr. Hind Salem Tayeh, and the Director of the Registration Division, Atheer Shehan. The speakers highlighted the most important positive behaviors that university students should demonstrate both on and off campus, stressing that adherence to the traditions and values of the academic institution directly reflects on a student’s educational performance and future character.
They also reviewed the student conduct regulations adopted by the Ministry and the University, explaining the key obligations students must follow, along with the penalties for behavioral and academic violations, including cheating, on-campus misconduct, and failure to comply with official attendance requirements.
At the end of the lecture, the floor was opened for discussion, during which students raised a range of questions and comments related to university discipline, rights, and responsibilities. Prof. Dr. Suhad emphasized the importance of continuing such awareness activities, which aim to promote a balanced and disciplined educational environment.
