The members of the Motor Learning Committee in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Dr. Intisar Awaid, Dr. Mawaheb Hamid, Dr. Luma Samir, Dr. Aseel Jalil and Dr. Sahar Hurr, held a qualitative lecture to the students of the undergraduate students entitled (How to learn – methods in motor learning).

The members of the committee explained the concept of motor learning methods as a set of relationships that arise between the teacher and the learner, and these relationships help the learner to acquire and maintain motor skills in games and sports activities.

The teachers confirmed that choosing a group of methods depends on a group of factors, the most important of which are the nature of the objectives of the educational unit, the nature and content of the educational unit, the age of the learner, his previous experiences, his mental and physical abilities, the teacher’s abilities and preparations in implementing the educational units, the allotted time and the available capabilities.

 The members of the committee also classified motor learning styles into several types, including the self-learning style, the cooperative learning style, the mastery learning style, the competition learning style, the problem-solving learning style, the discovery learning style, the brainstorming learning style, the direct play learning style, the activity learning style, and comprehensive multi-level learning style.
