The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, participated in the periodic meeting of the Deans’ Committee of Physical Education Colleges in Iraq, held on the sidelines of the 8th International Scientific Conference organized by the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Basra under the theme “Sports and Sustainable Development in Light of Artificial Intelligence Perspectives.”
The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Sabah Qasim Khalaf, head of the Deans’ Committee, and focused on discussing key agenda items, including requests for establishing new colleges and departments, the unification of curricula for physical education and sports sciences colleges, and the scheduling of academic conferences. The committee also worked on setting mechanisms for organizing conferences in alignment with the academic calendar to ensure optimal scientific outcomes that benefit both the educational process and the researchers involved.
This meeting aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by fostering collaboration and enhancing the quality of education in the field of physical education and sports sciences.
