The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls/ University of Baghdad, under the patronage of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, and in the presence of the Administrative Assistant, Asst. Prof. Dr. Naima Zidan and Lect. Safia Ihsan, the Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, organized a volunteer campaign in cooperation with the Iraqi Red Crescent Society to distribute Ramadan food baskets to female students residing in the Waziriya dormitory complex.
The campaign included distributing food baskets containing various essential items to meet the students’ needs. Additionally, a mobile medical clinic was provided to serve the students, offering necessary treatments for health conditions requiring intervention, such as low blood pressure and low blood sugar levels.
This campaign aims to promote noble humanitarian values advocated by our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by reinforcing principles of brotherhood and responsibility towards others and creating an environment where students feel a sense of belonging as if they were among their families.
This initiative is part of the college’s efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 10, Reducing inequalities.
