The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, organized a training course titled )Modern Exercises Aimed at Improving Muscle Tone and Body Contouring( The course was delivered by a group of instructors from the Department of Individual Sports: Prof. Prof. Dr. Muna Talib Al-Badri, Lect. Dr. Maysaa Redha and Asst. Lect. Iftikhar Salem.

The course focused on key physical exercises that support muscle toning and improve overall body shape, such as bodyweight squats, push-ups, walk-to-sit drills, planks, Spider-Man exercises, and lunges. It also addressed effective home-based workouts for enhancing muscle firmness and reducing body fat. These included bodyweight resistance training, High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), burpees, “angry birds,” “Batman” drills, bed-based stretching, and the PLP routine.

This course is part of the college’s ongoing initiatives to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education.
