The lecturer in the Individual Games Branch in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Assistant Professor Dr. Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Sabih Hussein, the symposium entitled (Promotion of Women’s Sports), and it is worth noting that this symposium will be one of the themes of the conference to be held next May, entitled (For the Promotion of Sports and Youth), under the auspices of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani.
Where Dr. Iman emphasized the need to implement the law of the two sessions and not to duplicate positions, to rehabilitate the infrastructure suitable for women’s sports, in addition to working to provide everything necessary to serve women’s sports, obliging sports clubs to participate in women’s sports for at least five sports events within the sports federations Centralization, periodically and effectively, not being limited to one female element in women’s sports committees, federations, Olympic and Paralympic committees with specialists and former champions, protecting women from bullying when practicing sports in society, spreading the culture of volunteer work in sports and with the presence of women, health insurance for sports injuries that are exposed the players have the right to increase the financial grants allocated to women’s sports in clubs and federations, provided that they are spent for this purpose and may not be recycled for another activity, and the club or union that violates this will be fined. Activate and encourage media women’s elements in the follow-up of women’s sports activities, oblige municipal councils to follow up on women’s activities and prepare the infrastructure Infrastructure and administration of sports activities within the area of the municipality, development of female sports cadres administratively and technically through internal and external courses accredited internationally, applying the law of able-bodied women with disabilities because they are part of society, working to find electronic links that serve sports work and include the female component to give opportunities to all to participate only Specializations and capabilities.
The symposium was concluded by Dr. Iman Sabih recommending working with one hand to contribute to developing the reality of women’s sports in our society at the level of all sports.
