The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Fatima Abdel Maleh, accompanied by the instructor in the Individual Games Branch and a member of the Sports and Youth Committee in Parliament, Assistant Professor Dr. Iman Sabih Hussein, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, Mr. Khaled Abdel Wahed Kabian and Dr. Risan Kharbit, received The two sides discussed the most important obstacles and negatives facing sports in general and women’s sports in particular.
For their part, the Sports and Youth Affairs Adviser, Professor Kibayan, suggested the possibility of opening prospects for cooperation with female teaching staff of well-known competencies to present proposals and solutions that contribute to improving the reality of sports at all levels, starting with the enactment of laws that serve the sports segment and athletes, as well as providing material support to national teams for the purpose of participating in Arab and international championships.
Professor Kabian, accompanied by the Dean of the College, made an inspection tour of all the corridors of the College, which included the classrooms and the halls of the indoor and outdoor stadiums, to see the infrastructure of the College and the requirements it needs that can be provided to the students to serve the practical aspect of sporting events.
At the end of the visit, the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdel Maleh, expressed her readiness to open horizons of cooperation with all competent authorities to contribute to providing everything that affects the development of sports in Iraq, whether on the scientific or practical level.
