The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad, under the auspices of its Dean, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abdel Maleh, and under the supervision of the unit official, Prof. Dr. Huda Abdel Samie, organized the cultural and artistic festival in cooperation and coordination with the Department of Youth Culture and Arts. The festival was inaugurated by the Dean of the College. Dr. Fatima and the Director General of the Department, Dr. Fayez Taha Salem.
The festival includes several activities, the first of which is the playing of the national anthem by the music department in the department while continuing to play musical pieces, in addition to setting up a bazaar for handicrafts, painting, calligraphy and books, as well as a display of artistic and aesthetic paintings that carry with it contents expressing reality, nature, beauty and imagination, as well as Screening of educational and informative films about drugs, smoking and other social phenomena that academic and governmental institutions seek to limit their spread. The dean of the college and the unit official announced the donation of bazaar income to needy students.
At the end of the festival, the Dean of the College expressed her happiness with this wonderful cooperation, which aims to develop the talents of the students, wishing all those in charge of this festival success in serving our beloved Iraq.
