The Council of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad held its fifth session for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by the Dean, Prof. Fatima Abd Malih, and attended by the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the heads of departments, and the council secretary.
During the session, the council reviewed several agenda items, most notably the follow-up on the implementation of the college’s strategic plan and the review of educational progress during the current semester. The council also discussed proposals to develop academic programs and improve the learning environment for students.
In addition, the council addressed postgraduate studies and student affairs, mechanisms for supporting scientific research, encouraging student initiatives, and emphasizing the importance of publishing in internationally indexed journals.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean stressed the importance of continuing collective efforts to achieve the college’s goals and enhance the quality of its outcomes, directing the relevant committees to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations issued by the council.
