The University Psychological Counseling Unit, in cooperation with the Scientific Affairs Unit and the Media Division at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women – University of Baghdad, organized a field awareness campaign as part of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week under the slogan (No to Drugs – Our Youth Are Stronger Without Them).
The campaign was launched on the morning of 16 November 2025 and will continue until 20 November 2025. A number of the college’s students and faculty members participated to raise community awareness about the dangers of drug use and its negative impact on individuals’ health and the security of society.
The campaign included solidarity stands, the distribution of informative leaflets highlighting the risks of addiction and drug abuse, and short field lectures targeting the college’s students. Awareness posters were also displayed on bulletin boards across the college’s departments.
The organizers emphasized that the main objective of the campaign is to protect the community (especially youth) from falling victim to this dangerous phenomenon, to promote a culture of awareness and reporting, and to encourage families to monitor their children and to communicate with the relevant authorities when necessary.
This campaign contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on good health and well-being.
