Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, the Teaching Methods Committee, in cooperation with the Counseling Unit and the Student Activities Division (Scout Activities Unit), organized a flag-raising ceremony in the college courtyard.
The event aimed to promote national values and reinforce the spirit of citizenship among students and staff members.
The Dean attended the ceremony, several faculty members and administrative staff, and a group of students. It began with raising the Iraqi flag, followed by the national anthem, in an atmosphere of respect and commitment. The Dean then delivered a speech highlighting the importance of such initiatives in supporting national identity and emphasizing the role of educational institutions in instilling values and principles in the younger generation.
The college administration stated that the flag-raising ceremony will become a regular activity held by the college to enhance communication among students and foster a sense of pride and belonging to the homeland.
At the end of the ceremony, participants expressed their pride in taking part in this national event, affirming that such activities strengthen national awareness and responsibility among students.
