The Council of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women at the University of Baghdad held its sixth session on Thursday morning, 27/11/2025, under the chairmanship of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, and in the presence of the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, the Heads of the Academic Departments, and the Council Secretary.
At the beginning of the session, the Dean welcomed the council members, stressing the importance of integrated teamwork among the college’s units to achieve its developmental plans.
During the session, the council discussed several academic and administrative issues, most notably matters related to postgraduate studies, scientific affairs, and student affairs, as well as approving the research plans of some female faculty members for the academic year (2025–2026). In addition, the Dean emphasized the directives of the University President regarding the follow-up of the educational process and the need to give special attention to first-year students, as well as several academic issues affecting students.
At the conclusion of the session, Dr. Fatima expressed her appreciation to the council members for their efforts, affirming the college administration’s commitment to enhancing the educational and research environment in line with the university’s aspirations.
