Under the slogan (With Guidance and Determination, We Rise), the University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, University of Baghdad, organized a welcoming ceremony for new students on the occasion of the beginning of the 2025–2026 academic year. The event was held under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, and under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Hind Salem Tayeh, in cooperation with the Student Activities Division and the Rehabilitation Unit. The ceremony was attended by the Dean, her assistants, and several members of the academic and administrative staff.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, followed by a speech by the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhad Haseeb Abdul Hamid. The program also included several introductory segments highlighting university services and activities available to students. In addition, the reception featured sports competitions in several games, with the participation of several new students, amid audience encouragement. The event aimed to promote a spirit of cooperation and to build social relationships among students in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and enjoyment.
At the conclusion, the Dean welcomed the new students and wished them a successful academic year. She also reaffirmed her commitment to supporting activities that help integrate students into the university community and achieve sustainable development goals.
