The course aimed to introduce participants to the Moodle system, enabling faculty members to create electronic classrooms, manage content, examinations, and activities, and monitor student performance within the platform.
The presenters highlighted several features of the Moodle platform for daily use, noting that it is a free, open-source, and multilingual system that supports both mobile devices and computers. It features interactive tests and activities, supports various file uploads, and can be integrated with tools such as Google and Zoom. Furthermore, they outlined the steps for registration, logging into the platform, and creating a course, including how to input course information, subject names, descriptions, start and end dates, and how to save settings.
The instructors also demonstrated how to add content to the classroom, such as files, lectures, videos, external links, and text pages. Additionally, they introduced methods for adding activities, including assignments, electronic exams, attendance tracking, and chats.
The session further explained the best teaching practices within the Moodle platform, such as organizing content by weeks or topics, incorporating short videos, utilizing quizzes, organizing assignments, and constantly updating announcements.
At the conclusion of the workshop, it was emphasized that utilizing this platform will enable participants to create comprehensive electronic classrooms, manage instructional content and activities, design electronic examinations, and effectively track student progress.
