The Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Women, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh, received the ministerial team tasked with monitoring the implementation of National Institutional Accreditation standards this morning. The field visit aimed to evaluate the quality of academic and administrative performance within the college.

The visit included a detailed tour of classrooms, sports fields, and scientific laboratories, as well as administrative offices, the Quality Assurance Division, the University Psychological Counseling Unit, the Special Needs Unit, the Registration Division, the Examination Committee, and other administrative departments and units. The team reviewed the college’s compliance with the eight standards approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, focusing on:

  • Infrastructure Efficiency: The quality of sports and educational facilities and their suitability for women.

  • Curriculum Quality: The integration of theoretical and practical educational aspects.

  • Governance and Administration: Academic documentation of learning outcomes and institutional management.

During the tour, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Maleh emphasized that the college operates according to a strategic plan aimed at fostering a culture of quality and elevating the scientific and physical standards of the women. She noted that obtaining institutional accreditation is a merit the college seeks to achieve through the concerted efforts of all its staff.

For its part, the ministerial team expressed satisfaction with the level of organization and coordination observed, commending the leadership role of the College Deanship in overcoming obstacles and providing an exemplary educational environment that supports the progress of women’s sports in Iraq.
