The National Ministerial Team tasked with field evaluation concluded its work today, Thursday, March 26, 2026, at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, University of Baghdad. This followed a three-day visit to evaluate the undergraduate program as part of the final steps toward obtaining national program accreditation.
The final day included a comprehensive inspection of the college’s infrastructure and vital facilities, including classrooms, scientific laboratories, sports fields, and training halls. The six committees reviewed the extent to which these facilities comply with the standards adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to ensure the provision of an ideal educational environment for the girls.
In the closing session, conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Haitham Mohammed Kadhim, Chairman of the National Council, and chaired by Professor Dr. Khalid Shaker Hussein, Head of the National Evaluators Team, the committee praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the College Deanship, the College Council, the Program Accreditation Committee, and the academic and administrative staff in organizing the files according to accreditation standards.
For her part, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, commended the efforts and precision of the ministerial team. She affirmed that the team’s observations would serve as a “road map” to elevate the college to the level of international educational institutions, emphasizing that achieving accreditation is not merely an end goal, but a continuous commitment to providing distinguished academic sports education for Iraqi girls.
