The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, under the patronage and direct supervision of its Dean, Professor Dr. Fatima Abd Malih, continued the implementation of its scientific program by holding weekly seminar sessions for postgraduate girls. Today marked the organization of the eleventh session within the scientific plan for the academic year 2025-2026, as part of the college’s diligent efforts to develop the academic skills of female researchers.

The session reviewed research projects by two girls from the Master’s and Doctoral levels in the presence of a specialized academic committee consisting of a chairwoman and four members. The presentations focused on proposing innovative research titles aimed at enriching the Iraqi sports library, in addition to conducting a comprehensive critical analysis of previous studies to diagnose and address scientific gaps, while providing a detailed explanation of the applied methodologies and the scientific tools and means used for measurement and analysis.

The meeting was not limited to research presentations but also included precise observations provided by the scientific committee aimed at developing academic quality by raising the standard of research outcomes and enhancing the accuracy of the scientific measurement tools utilized. Furthermore, the committee guided the researchers toward modern applied trends that effectively serve the sports field, emphasizing that the continuity of these sessions for the eleventh consecutive week reflects the college’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the fourth goal related to quality education.

These intensive efforts fall within the future vision and strategy of the college aimed at empowering Iraqi female researchers and preparing them to keep pace with global developments in sports sciences. This contributes directly to graduating qualified personnel capable of addressing contemporary challenges according to solid scientific foundations, thereby enhancing the university’s academic standing at both local and international levels.
