In a step that enhances the academic role and is concerned with activating the role of female students in various fields, the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls – University of Baghdad created the Student Activities Hall under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Fatima Abde Maleh, and in cooperation with the Director of the Student Activities Unit, Asst. Prof. Sahar Hurr, who plays a major role in motivating students and supporting them to participate effectively in various student activities.
This step reflects the college’s commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that goes beyond theoretical classes, as student activity is considered an essential part of the female students’ university experience. In order to achieve this goal, the Dean and the Director of the Student Activities Unit met to develop a comprehensive plan that includes a group of activities and events that vary between cultural, social, sports and artistic.
For her part, the Dean expressed her happiness with this step, noting the importance of strengthening team spirit and developing the personal skills of students. She stressed that the Student Activities Unit will contribute greatly to providing a platform for communication and interaction between students, and will be a vital space for gaining new experiences and developing talents.
This step achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fourth goal: quality education.
